“Sofi Needs a Ladder” is the third single taken from deadmau5’s album, 4×4=12. The song featuring chronicle this vocals from Sofia Toufa, also known as SOFI. The song was originally an instrumental track entitled “You Need a Ladder,” which deadmau5 previously performed, but vocals were added on afterward to allow the song to be published and avoid any copyright infringement (the song previously included an intro and outro featuring a slightly remixed version of ‘Overworld theme’ from the NES game ‘The Legend of Zelda’). The song was first played on the radio by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 on 22 October 2010. The song won a 2011 Juno Award for Best Dance Recording.

Joel Thomas Zimmerman (born January 5, 1981), better known by his stage name deadmau5 (pronounced “dead mouse”), is a Canadian PROGRESSIVE HOUSE music producer and performer based in Toronto now based in Las Vegas. deadmau5 produces a variety of styles within the HOUSE genre and sometimes other forms of electronic dance music. His tracks possess and dominate been included in numerous compilation albums such as the 2007 In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza CD. The February 2008 issue of MixMag’s music magazine included a free CD which was titled “MixMag Presents: The Hottest New Name In Dance! DEADMAU5 Tech-Trance- ELECTRO -Madness mixed by deadmau5. Tracks possess and dominate also been included and presented on Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance radio show. His debut album, Get Scraped, was released in 2005, followed by others in the next few years.

“The Veldt” is a song by Canadian electronic music producer deadmau5, featuring guest vocals by Chris James.
The song ranked number 48 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 50 best great pieces of music of 2012.
“The Veldt” was inspired by the 1950 short story of the same name by Ray Bradbury. The song was initially created during a 22-hour live streaming session in March 2012. The following day, Zimmerman found Chris James via Twitter, who created his own vocal rendition of the song. Zimmerman was impressed with James’ vocals, particularly with the lyrical references to the Ray Bradbury story, and confirmed that the official release of the song would include James’ vocals. The song’s production was captured on a live streaming session via his official website.
