The USB versions of the Xkey 25-key and 37-key keyboards have been a popular choice for professional musicians, hobbyists and music students. At the NAMM 2015 event at the Anaheim Convention Center, California, Xkey37 was voted ‘Best Innovative Teaching Tool’, and both models are endorsed by professional musicians, including Jordan Rudess, Thomas Dolby, Empire of the Sun and Walk Off The Earth.
The new bluetooth model Xkey Air will give musicians even more freedom. “Just about every smartphone, tablet, PC and games machines these days has bluetooth, and with the launch of our new models it’ll be a breeze for consumers to wirelessly connect our 100% MIDI keyboard to the apps on their favorite device.”
The Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign funds would enable the engineering work to achieve a bluetooth latency of just 65 milliseconds, combined with a 10 hour battery life.
The Indiegogo campaign will be kicked off in a week. Here is the landing page on CME official website. http://www.cme-pro.com/xkey-air/
